There are tens of hundreds of systems/applications each university uses for different purposes - enrollment, course management, grading, finance center, etc - which means a lot of data for each student. On top of this, there are several documents released for each course for a specific program including learning material, syllabus, etc. So, for a student to refer to any of the content they have to navigate within each document countless number of times to get some basic info like grading principle for an English course. AND every program contains core courses while a few mandatory ones also include courses based on interest.
