Last updated: [INSERT DATE]
OneOrigin Inc. ("OneOrigin," "we," "us") owns and actively protects a portfolio of proprietary product and service names, logos, taglines, and brand assets (collectively, the "OneOrigin Brand Assets"). This Trademark Policy explains how OneOrigin trademarks may and may not be used, so that the marks remain consistent, distinctive, and legally protected across all media. It applies to everyone — partners, customers, developers, press, and the general public.
1. OneOrigin Trademarks
The following are trademarks and service marks of OneOrigin Inc.:
MarkStatus
Sia™
Registered
SpotSearch™
Registered
The OneOrigin name, the OneOrigin logo, and the marks above are referred to collectively as the "OneOrigin Trademarks." OneOrigin may add, remove, or change its trademarks at any time without notice. The absence of a name or logo from this list does not waive any rights OneOrigin holds in it.
2. Ownership and Reservation of Rights
By using any OneOrigin Trademark, in whole or in part, you acknowledge that:
- OneOrigin is the sole and exclusive owner of all OneOrigin Trademarks;
- All rights, title, and goodwill arising from use of the marks inure exclusively to OneOrigin;
- No license or right is granted to you by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, except under a separate written agreement signed by OneOrigin.
3. Permitted Use (Nominative / Referential)
You may refer to OneOrigin products and services by their correct names, without prior permission, where the reference is truthful and does not imply endorsement — for example, in:
- news reporting, commentary, reviews, and comparative analysis;
- accurate statements of interoperability or integration with a OneOrigin product;
- internal, educational, or academic reference.
When you do, use the exact mark in plain text, kept visually separate from your own branding, with attribution (Section 5). This permission does not extend to OneOrigin logos or brand assets, which require written permission (Section 7).
4. Usage Standards
Symbols
- Use ™ with unregistered marks (Sia™, SpotSearch™) on first and most prominent use.
- Use ® only after a mark is federally registered, and only in jurisdictions where the registration applies.
Spelling and capitalization
- Use the exact spelling and capitalization shown: Sia, SpotSearch.
- Do not abbreviate, hyphenate, pluralize, make possessive, or create variants.
- Use a trademark as an adjective modifying a generic noun (e.g., "the SpotSearch platform"), never as a verb or a standalone generic noun.
5. Attribution
Where OneOrigin marks appear, include an attribution notice, e.g.:
Sia and SpotSearch are trademarks of OneOrigin Inc.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- modify, abbreviate, translate, transliterate, or phonetically imitate any OneOrigin Trademark, or combine it with other words, marks, or designs;
- use any OneOrigin Trademark — or a confusingly similar variation — in a business name, product name, domain name, URL, social media handle, hashtag, or app name;
- use the marks in a way that implies partnership, affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement without written authorization;
- use the marks on merchandise (apparel, mugs, stickers, etc.) without a written license;
- imitate the distinctive look and feel of OneOrigin, including its logos, typefaces, color system, iconography, layout, slogans, or taglines;
- use the marks in any manner that is misleading, defamatory, infringing, or that dilutes or tarnishes the brand;
- register or attempt to register any OneOrigin Trademark, or a confusingly similar mark, anywhere in the world.
7. Logos and Brand Assets
OneOrigin logos, wordmarks, and other brand assets may be used only with prior written permission and only in accordance with any brand guidelines we provide. Do not alter, recolor, distort, animate, or re-create OneOrigin logos, and do not replicate the structure, typography, iconography, or layout of OneOrigin websites or product interfaces.
8. Reservation; No Warranty
OneOrigin reserves all rights not expressly granted in this policy. Nothing here constitutes a warranty or representation regarding the registration status of any mark. OneOrigin may update this policy at any time, and the current published version governs.
